Meet the Z-Boys – a group of brash street kids from Venice, California’s tough Dogtown neighborhood who revolutionized skateboarding with an aggressive in-your-face style that shredded the competition and influenced today’s extreme sports. Narrated by Sean Penn and featuring old-school skating footage.

The Broken Arrow Skyrace features nine distances: a 46k, 23k, 18k, Vertical K, 11k, Triple Crown (the Ascent/23k/46k), the Iron Crown (IFC/23k/46k), the Iron Face Challenge, and a kids race. These races are unique in California as most of the terrain is above the tree line. Runners are treated to spectacular views of Lake Tahoe’s emerald-blue waters and Palisade Tahoe’s unmistakable high-alpine terrain. Elite and recreational participants run and then celebrate together with first-class food, craft beer, music, seminars, films, and fun activities for the whole family.

The Auburn Mini-Mile is a fun and festive kids run held on the morning of July 4 before Auburn’s Family Fourth Parade. Young runners ages 3 and older will have the opportunity to run on closed downtown streets, enjoy the excitement of race day, and experience the cheers of family and spectators along the course.

Celebrate Independence Day by running the inaugural Auburn Mile in historic Downtown Auburn. Held just before Auburn’s beloved Fourth of July Parade, this unique community race gives participants the novel opportunity to run the full parade route on closed streets lined with spectators and patriotic spirit.
