Off Road/ATV Activities in Placer County

Take a ride on your motorcycle or recreational vehicle of choice on one of Placer County's trails in Northern California!

Placer County is fortunate to have two Federal agencies, Bureau of Reclamation and the U. S. Forest Service, who works with the California State Parks to provide, designated riding areas in the foothills and the high Sierras.

Placer County offers a wide range of trails and conditions in beautiful settings for the use of motorcycle, ATVs, 4-wheel drive vehicle, trail bike, mountain bike, and other non-motorized vehicle enthusiasts.

Please drive only on the trails which are designated for vehicle use as many trails are multi-use and accidents have occurred when motorized vehicles utilized trails designated for hikers, mountain bikers and equestrians.
