The Mayors Cup Challenge is a golf tournament organized by the City of Lincoln Recreation Department. Proceeds from the tournament benefit youth programs offered by the Recreation Department and have helped reach thousands of youth in aquatics, youth sports, classes, after school care, and camps.

Boys & Girls Club of Placer County is excited to announce that the Annual Chillin’ & Grillin’ fundraiser Like Never Before will be held again at the beautiful Gold Hill Gardens Estate. This exceptional, scenic venue with classic elegance has 38-acres, including 11 acres of gardens, beautiful oak trees, bubbling creeks and natural beauty nestled at the base of the Sierra foothills. It promises to be a wonderful evening for everyone.

Lincoln’s most anticipated event of the year is fast approaching! Over 60 local restaurants, breweries, wineries, and specialized vendors will be part of this event, bringing a delightful experience to our beautiful Downtown Lincoln space. Enjoy live music by Wonder Bread 5!

Your tickets gets you entry to the Showcase Event from 6:30 PM to 10PM. Once inside the gates, you will have the chance to taste, sip and eat from local vendors in Lincoln and the surrounding cities. It’s a great night out on the town—bring your friends, but please, this is an adults-only event—no one under 21 will be admitted.

This race is a 5k fun-run and features a myriad of obstacles, including (but not limited to) a foam tunnel, maze, tire run, wall climbs, weighted-sled pull, a creek crossing, over and under, and of course a mud pit.

Set in charming Downtown Loomis, this beloved annual event brings together local artisans, growers, makers, and musicians for a day filled with fun, food, and family-friendly entertainment. Named after our town’s historic fruit shed industry, the festival blends small-town tradition with modern flair.

Maker Faire is a gathering of fascinating, curious people who enjoy learning and who love sharing what they can do. From engineers to artists to scientists to crafters, Maker Faire is a venue for these “makers” to show hobbies, experiments, and projects. We call it the Greatest Show (& Tell) on Earth — a family-friendly showcase of invention, creativity, and resourcefulness. Featuring both established and emerging local “makers,” the Rocklin Mini Maker Faire is a celebration for all ages featuring rockets and robots, digital fabrication, DIY science and technology, urban farming and sustainability, alternative energy, bicycles, unique hand-made crafts, music and local food, and educational workshops and installations. The Rocklin Mini Maker Faire follows the “big” Maker Faire model of celebrating invention, creativity, and resourcefulness, but is smaller in scale and showcases the wonders of Placer and Sacramento counties and beyond!

The Auburn Symphony presents Masterworks I Concert: Sounds of Hollywood! Think epic movie moments with music by John Williams and Ennio Morricone. We’re especially excited to welcome the amazing Dr. Keith Bohm on saxophone, performing John Williams’ Escapades. We’ll also dive into Rachmaninoff’s lush and emotional Symphony No. 3 – a real treat!

Get your leash, rally your pack, and join us for Placer SPCA’s first-ever community fun run for animal lovers and their canine companions. Explore the beautiful trails of Johnson-Springview Park while choosing your route: 2.5K (about 1.55 miles) – a fun, easy pace for all ages and energy levels 5K (about 3.1 miles) – for those who want to stretch their legs (and paws) a bit farther No matter which route you choose, you’ll be walking side by side with a community of animal advocates, raising funds to provide shelter, care, and second chances for pets in need. Expect tail wags, smiling faces, and plenty of photo-worthy moments along the way. An evening of wine, food, horses and heartfelt stories – all in support of a powerful cause. They’re pouring more than just wine; they’re pouring hope, healing, and connection into the lives of veterans, teens, and adults facing trauma and mental health challenges. Hosted by Stand Up Placer, the evening will feature a VIP reception, dinner, live music, and both silent and live auctions led by Freddie Silveria. Proceeds will benefit programs supporting survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and sex trafficking in Placer County.

Make memories, enjoy great stories and tasty treats with the whole family. This is a popular program and does fill up fast; buy tickets early.

Embark on a captivating flashlight tour of the ancient rock carvings at the Maidu Museum, where you’ll explore petroglyphs that are over a thousand years old. The unique lighting reveals intricate details of the carvings that can only be seen on this special tour. Don’t miss the chance to experience these rare rock formations in an entirely new light. Wear close-toed shoes. Flashlight is recommended but not required. Program not recommended for children under 6; children under 2 are free.

The inaugural Tour de Lincoln was held May 2002, sponsored by the Lincoln Volunteer Center, beginning as a benefit bike ride, and growing to over 600 cyclists participating. The Tour offers a wonderful day of riding the scenic back roads of Lincoln and South Placer County. Great updated routes this year!

Sierra Native Alliance invites the community to the Auburn Big Time Pow Wow on Saturday, October 18, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the Gold Country Fairgrounds in Auburn. This free, family-friendly event celebrates Indigenous culture with traditional dance, drumming, arts and crafts, and Native foods. Open to the public, the pow wow honors children, families, and elders while showcasing the resilience and diversity of Native communities. Guests will experience intertribal songs, vibrant regalia, and cultural sharing in a welcoming space. The event is ADA accessible, and all are encouraged to attend.

Quarry Park Amphitheater presents You Should Be Dancing (A Tribute to the Bee Gees).

Make a splash this fall at our Floating Pumpkin Patch. Forget the dusty fields – this year, dive into the fun and pick your perfect pumpkin straight from the pool. The Auburn Symphony presents Masterworks II Concert: Amaryn Olmeda & Mozart 38! We’re bringing back one of our former Young Artists Competition Grand Prize winners, Amaryn Olmeda. She’s gone on to have a big international career, and we’re lucky to have her return to play Barber’s beautiful Violin Concerto. We’ll also feature Mozart’s Symphony No. 38 and a special spotlight on our wind section with Strauss’s Wind Serenade.

The Auburn Symphony presents the Family Concert: Peter and the Wolf! Our Family Concert is always a favorite – this time we’re performing Peter and the Wolf, narrated by the always-charismatic Omari Tau. It’s a great way to introduce kids (and grown-ups!) to the instruments of the orchestra. We’ll also hear from this year’s Young Artists Grand Prize winner, Sumanth Ganga, performing Creston’s Sonata for Alto Saxophone and we’ll perform Dvořák’s Slavonic Dances No. 8, Op. 46. An Instrument Petting Zoo immediately follows the concert lead by Auburn Symphony musicians and Placer High School Music students. Open to all ages, meet the musicians and try out an instrument!

The Auburn Symphony presents Masterworks III Strauss & Tchaikovsky! We welcome back soprano Carrie Hennessey for Strauss’s gorgeous Four Last Songs, paired with Tchaikovsky’s powerful Symphony No. 5. These are two of Maestro Murrays’ all-time favorite works, and they will leave a lasting impression.

Come experience “Symphony Under the Sky”! This special event, a collaboration between the Auburn Symphony and Placer Land Trust, brings you the joy of music in the great outdoors! Wander the easy walking trail on the preserve and find musician ensembles tucked in the trees… hear Mozart in the meadow or Bach just around the bend . . . choose your own adventure!

The Auburn Symphony presents the Season Finale: Saint-Saëns: The Organ Symphony! Every year, the Auburn Symphony invites you to travel “down the hill” with us to the acoustically spectacular venue, the Robert & Margrit Mondavi Center for the Arts at UC Davis. On this grand stage, we present larger orchestral works bringing in special guests, choirs, and other unique programs. We’ll wrap up the season in grand fashion at the Mondavi Center, with two audience favorites: Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 2, featuring Parker Van Ostrand, a Young Artists Competition winner, and Saint-Saëns’ Organ Symphony. The acoustics at Mondavi make this an unforgettable experience every time. A bus is available for transport to and from Auburn (the Auburn Public Library parking lot at 350 Nevada Street, Auburn) for guests who would like to sit back and enjoy the ride with no parking hassle! Bus departs at 1:00 pm.
