In addition to the bingo games, a silent auction, cash prizes and basket raffle will round out the sessions. Delicious fixins’ will be available for purchase at the chuck wagon during the afternoon and evening sessions. Choices include pulled pork sliders with coleslaw; hot dog with potato salad; miso vegetarian burrito with tortilla chips, Caesar salad with or without chicken; cake, cookies, candy bars; and beverages including soda, beer, wine, bottled water and iced tea. Proceeds from this event are used to help support the organization’s philanthropic programs, which benefit people of all ages in need. Assistance League members accomplished many acts of caring and commitment in 2016 including: provided 1,420 children with new clothing and shoes through Operation School Bell®; awarded $9,500 for community college scholarships; supplied over 2,000 teddy bears to hospitals and California Highway Patrol and enjoyed 1,370 hours visiting senior care residents.
