The perfect place to spend your winter day, Blackwood Canyon is the only state managed sno-park on Lake Tahoe’s north shore. Within the canyon, Barker Pass Road serves as a wonderful trail for snowmobiling and cross-country skiers, and the top of the pass offers scenic views of the canyon below. Blackwood Canyon is full of prominent downhill ski locations that are not easily accessible but offer excellent backcountry experience and can be reached by snowmobiles. Pack up your skis and prepare yourself for a day of adventure!
