The Art of Luck! BINGO Night
Join the Art League of Lincoln for a fun BINGO fundraiser ! Tickets are $40 including a spaghetti dinner (vegetarian option available), or $30 for Bingo only. Tickets go on sale February 13th! This is the Art League’s largest fundraiser of the year, supporting art for underserved youth, over 25 exhibits annually, ClayFest, Feats of Clay, and more public art in Lincoln! 21 & over only please!

Placer Community Theater Presents: The 39 Steps
The 39 Steps is a fast-paced, comedic adaptation of Alfred Hitchcock’s classic 1935 thriller, reimagined for the stage by Patrick Barlow. The play follows Richard Hannay, an ordinary man thrust into a world of espionage after a mysterious woman is murdered in his apartment. Accused of the crime, Hannay embarks on a daring adventure to clear his name, uncover a dangerous spy ring, and stop a secret plot known as “The 39 Steps.”

AST Presents: Grave Mistakes: A Haunted Rom-Com
The State Theatre Acting Company is honored to premiere the first Northern California production of playwright Ben Abbott’s comedy Grave Mistakes: A Haunted Rom-Com. Ray and Molly are trying to fend off their landlord and a paranormal investigator who want to turn their work attic into a certified haunted vacation rental. But is it? And as Molly writes her latest novel is she in love with her editor, Ray, and he with her, and can’t they just admit it for crying out loud? A special VIP Reception featuring a Q&A session with playwright Ben Abbott, director Rick Schlussel, and the cast follows the March 15th performance. The VIP ticket includes admission to the play and the reception, plus a specialty cocktail.

Placer Land Trust – Pie Party on the Preserve
It’s a pie potluck! Sweet, savory, or pizza pie – enjoy a slice or five with old friends and new! Come at 1pm for an optional open preserve hour (details below). Wander the preserve at your own pace to build up that appetite. If you’re just coming for the pie —and who isn’t?! — we’ll start the potluck at 2pm. This casual event includes classic yard games to enjoy, a short program to share Placer Land Trust updates and answer questions, and beverages available on site! At check in, you will receive two drink tickets to enjoy the wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages provided.

Until Kevin Bacon moves to town, and his rebellious spirit shakes up the populace.

One of the world’s foremost fingerstyle guitarists and harp-guitarists, Muriel Anderson is the first woman to have won the National Fingerstyle Guitar Championship. Her CD “Nightlight Daylight” was chosen as one of the top 10 CDs of the decade by Guitar Player Magazine and her “Heartstrings” recording accompanied the astronauts on the Space Shuttle Discovery.

While Virginio takes their small herd of llamas out to graze, Sisa keeps house and walks for miles with other local women to fetch precious water. When an uncommonly long drought threatens everything they know, they must decide whether to stay and maintain their traditional way of life or admit defeat and move in with family members in the city. Barbara Alvarez’s cinematography sets the vibrant colors of domestic life against arresting widescreen tracking shots of rural Bolivia’s cracked earth and a (stunningly photogenic) herd of llamas. Bolivian entry for the 95th Academy Awards as the Best International Feature Film.

In this film we meet passionate people dedicated to unraveling the mysteries of the redwoods and protecting their future. This includes a scientific detective uncovering the secrets of redwood resilience, members of the Yurok Tribe fighting to restore their cultural connections to these forests, a park manager summoning new life from ravaged timberlands, and a modern-day Ansel Adams who’s attempting to display a life-size photograph of a 310-foot redwood— a portrait she hopes will rekindle our connection to these ambassadors from another time.

This classic mystery novel takes readers on a captivating journey as Holmes and Watson investigate a complex murder case that leads them into the heart of the criminal underworld.

Rocklin Civic Celebration
Join the City of Rocklin at Johnson-Springview Park for the Rocklin Civic Celebration, a family-friendly event that brings the community together for a fun and educational evening. This event will showcase the work of city departments, offering interactive displays such as vehicles from the Police and Fire Departments and equipment from the Public Works Department. Residents can learn about upcoming projects, volunteer opportunities, and ways to get involved in the city. As the beginner bicyclists battle heatstroke, speed wobbles, and the greatest enemy of all cyclists — a chafed crotch — they must learn to stop fighting and ride together as a peloton. The bicycle serves not just as a means of transportation, but as a test; a way for each of these young men to see what they are truly capable of, physically, mentally, and emotionally. For years, Townsend led boys on 700-mile bike tours from Denver to the Grand Canyon, sleeping out under the stars.
