Lineworkers from public power utilities across the nation attend this epic event every year and compete in a series of contests designed to test their technical skills, safety practices, and teamwork. Barbara Alvarez’s cinematography sets the vibrant colors of domestic life against arresting widescreen tracking shots of rural Bolivia’s cracked earth and a (stunningly photogenic) herd of llamas. Bolivian entry for the 95th Academy Awards as the Best International Feature Film.

In this film we meet passionate people dedicated to unraveling the mysteries of the redwoods and protecting their future. This includes a scientific detective uncovering the secrets of redwood resilience, members of the Yurok Tribe fighting to restore their cultural connections to these forests, a park manager summoning new life from ravaged timberlands, and a modern-day Ansel Adams who’s attempting to display a life-size photograph of a 310-foot redwood— a portrait she hopes will rekindle our connection to these ambassadors from another time.

Chris was a writer and a regular performer on E!’s hit show Chelsea Lately, for 8 years. Chris is continuously on the road, headlining venues all over the country as well as being a highly successful podcaster. This play is an adaptation of the very first novel by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle featuring the character Sherlock Holmes that includes a clash of wills and ways of life. “A Study in Scarlet” is the debut novel of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle featuring the iconic detective Sherlock Holmes first published in 1887. This classic mystery novel takes readers on a captivating journey as Holmes and Watson investigate a complex murder case that leads them into the heart of the criminal underworld.

Bring your bicycle and helmet to Roseville’s 32nd annual family bike safety event. Enjoy the bike obstacle course, a safety show including education on e-bikes, helmet fittings, and free bicycle safety checks from local bike shops. Yoomén: A Celebration of Spring
Yoomén celebrates the coming of spring, a welcome time of new growth, and the guarantee of fresh foods and warmer weather. The cultural event features Native American dancers, performers and cultural demonstrators who showcase their exquisite skills working with natural materials to create baskets, jewelry, tools and more! The local Native artist community will also have artwork on view in the museum, and crafts and other goods will be sold by Native artisans. Native-inspired art and game stations for children and guided tours of the museum and site will also be available, including tours of the site’s famous ancient petroglyphs. Elders from surrounding Native communities will also be honored in ceremony for their cherished community contributions.
