Protect American River Canyons Presents the American River Clean-Up fall event. Arrive early for registration and a Welcome & Safety Talk with State Parks. The Canyon Keepers will be providing a guided hike about historical bridges & native flora & fauna. There will be activity tables featuring Pleistocene Era fossil replicas from the historic Hawver Limestone Cavern, as well as skat & skulls.

We are excited to announce the 3rd annual Commitment to Corduroy Benefit Dinner! This year’s event is extra exciting as we have a big announcement- we have changed venues! Thanks to the generosity of Fowler Ranch, CCBD 2024 will be located at the Fowler Ranch’s New Brewery! Additionally, with a new venue, we are adjusting the date of the event and moving it back to the Fall.

The Auburn Symphony Presents: Masterworks I – A Night at the Movies. A variety of loveable and iconic movie music will be featured, from pieces that were written for the Silver Screen and great classical music that made its way there on its own merits. The Auburn Symphony is thrilled to welcome back Konstantin Soukhovetski on piano, performing everyone’s favorite, Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue, celebrating the 100 year anniversary of this famous composition. Konstantin will further delight all with a movement from his first symphony, Once Upon a Spring.

The presence of these grotesque characters, who parody the worst of humanity, highlights the dark ambitions in this play while breathing new life and new perspectives into one of Shakespeare’s most popular works.

Eggs are hidden in front yards of Roseville residents by 9:00 am.

Come on out & celebrate all that you’re thankful for with friends & family at this year’s Turkey Trot in Roseville! Plan to arrive no later than 8:15am in order to park and arrive at the starting area for announcements. Race announcements and course instructions given at 8:30am. The race starts promptly at 9:00am. Parking for this event is FREE! Take advantage of Roseville’s convenient parking. Refreshments provided for all registered participants following the race. All adult participants receive Unisex long sleeve race shirt. Youth will receive 100% cotton shirts. Late registrants are not guaranteed shirts and sizes. Register online by November 1, 2024 to guarantee your shirt and size! We will be accepting non-perishable food donations on race day. These food donations with be given to Saint Vincent de Paul, Roseville, to help stock their Food Locker program.

Get creative this holiday season. Design and build your own gingerbread house and enter it into the annual gingerbread house contest. All entries will be on display at 316 Vernon Street, December 4-December 19 for the community to enjoy.

You better watch out, you better not cry, you better not pout, I’m telling you why, Santa Claus is coming to town! This year, Santa is visiting neighborhoods on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings December 10-19, 2024. Santa will start his route at 6:00pm each night. We anticipate each route will run 1 to 1.5 hours. Although Santa lives in the North Pole, he doesn’t want to risk getting sick before Christmas so all visits are weather permitting. (Look for updates on the Roseville Parks, Recreation & Events Facebook page by 5pm on each evening for changes due to weather.) Santa would like to visit all neighborhoods, he just can’t fit everyone into his busy schedule but hopes to get to more neighborhoods next year. Santa will also not be able to visit with children one on one during his neighborhood tour.

The Auburn Symphony Presents: Masterworks II – Sublime Sibelius! Jean Sibelius’ first symphony is one of the most romantic pieces ever written and is one of Maestro Murray’s personal favorites. You will love this idyllic, musical gem that explores the entire palette of sounds that a symphony orchestra can create! Soloist Jesse Barrett, a true virtuoso on the oboe, will charm audiences with his melodic interpretation of Mozart’s Concerto for Oboe.

The Auburn Symphony Presents their annual Family Concert, which will be “Lemony Snicket: The Composer is Dead”. Beloved Narrator Omari Tau will be narrating! This show emphasizes and engages with youth in the audience to learn about the different instrument sections of the orchestra. Jenna Son, Grand Prize Winner of the 2024 Young Artists Competition will perform Sibelius’ Violin Concerto, Op. 47. An Instrument Petting Zoo immediately follows the concert lead by Auburn Symphony musicians and Placer High School Music students. Open to all ages, meet the musicians and try out an instrument!

An interactive Melodrama adapted by T.S. Forsyth from the script by Dion Boucicault, based upon the novel by Alexandre Dumas (author of The Three Musketeers). Conjoined identical twins, separated at birth but connected through their senses, seek to defend and revenge their family. Comedy, adventure, romance, action (including sword fights) and more. This classic mystery novel takes readers on a captivating journey as Holmes and Watson investigate a complex murder case that leads them into the heart of the criminal underworld.
